CHOLPON-ATA, Kyrgyzstan -- One hundred twenty Kyrgyz representing local governments, political parties, civil society, clergy and other walks of life June 1-4 assembled in Cholpon-Ata to discuss ways to enhance inter-faith tolerance, the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) said in a June 3 statement.
The OSCE and Kyrgyz government organised the event. Topics included "policies related to religious organisations, radical movements and prevention of extremism leading to terrorism", the OSCE said.
