BERLIN -- German authorities June 21 arrested a Tajik national suspected of joining the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL), Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reported June 22, quoting a statement by the German public prosecutor general's office.
Mukhmadsaid S. was arrested in North Rhine-Westphalia June 21. He allegedly joined ISIL in Syria in April 2015 and made videos urging other Tajiks to join ISIL.
Mukhmaidsaid S. left Syria no later than last September and went to Germany, according to German authorities.
