BISHKEK -- Kyrgyz Interior Minister Kashkar Junushaliyev recently conferred with retired Interior Ministry (MVD) employees of all seven provinces and of the cities of Osh and Bishkek, the MVD press office said in a July 14 statement.
At the conference in Bishkek, Junushaliyev praised the retirees as the "foundation of the Kyrgyz police". The retirees make today's police officers better by sharing their knowledge and experience, he said.
Recent reforms of the MVD include reducing the central office staff by 30% so that more police officers could be deployed in the provinces, Junushaliyev said.
