4 Kazakhs were killed in Nice truck attack

Staff Report

PARIS -- The July 14 one-man terrorist attack in Nice, France, killed four Kazakhstanis, Interfax reported July 17, quoting the Kazakhstani Foreign Ministry.

A Tunisian-born Frenchman drove a 20-tonne truck for 2km down a boulevard in Nice, running over pedestrians until police shot and killed him. Eighty-four people were killed.

The Foreign Ministry identified the four Kazakhstanis as Natalya Otto and Lyubov, Marina and Silviya Panchenko. Silviya, apparently the daughter of Marina Panchenko, was born in 2013.
