Kyrgyz detain suspected ISIL recruiter

BISHKEK -- Police recently detained a foreign national in Bishkek who is suspected of recruiting for the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL), Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reported August 26, quoting Bishkek police spokesman Oljobai Kazakbayev.

The unidentified suspect was born in the North Caucasus in 1973, Kazakbayev said, adding that police found ISIL propaganda, a grenade and ammunition in his apartment.
