Shymkent court tries three men suspected in terrorism

SHYMKENT -- Shymkent court began a trial of three men, who came from Karaganda to Shymkent to rob a local businessmen and finance terror act, Tengrinews reported on October 22.

All of the accused came to Shymkent at the command of a certain Baydildayev. According to case documents, he has ties to an extremist organisation the country has banned.

Aleksandr Krivonosov and Samat Zholdybayev are being charged with robbery, as well as establishing and running a terrorist group. The third defendant, Asif Tokarev, is being charged with promoting terrorism, making public calls to commit terror attacks, and harbouring criminals.

All three were arrested in June.
