BISHKEK -- A Kyrgyz family of 25 militants might have been killed in Syria recently, Turmush.kg reported October 28, quoting local officials in Issyk-Kul Province.
Distant relatives of the militant family, which was based in Issyk-Kul Province before relocating to Syria, October 27 received a telegramme saying that the militants had been killed in an explosion, Turmush.kg reported.
Authorities are in touch with the recipients of the telegramme and are working to confirm that family's death, Erik Choyutov, an official at the Issyk-Kul Province police's 10th Administration, which fights terrorism, told Turmush.kg.
