BISHKEK -- Kyrgyz border forces nabbed 19 suspected extremists during a joint exercise with colleagues from Kazakhstan and Tajikistan September 25 to November 1, the Kyrgyz State Border Service (GPS) said in a November 3 statement.
Unity-2016 was a four-stage exercise in which the forces exchanged intelligence about measures and results, the GPS said. Kyrgyz border forces also arrested 23 alleged violators of border regulations.
