PAVLODAR, Kazakhstan -- The Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) last week conducted a three-day-long seminar for Kazakhstani law enforcement on fighting drug trafficking, the OSCE said in a statement.
About 30 Kazakhstani customs officers, police officers and prosecutors from around the country attended the Pavlodar event, which addressed "transnational threats with a focus on trafficking in drugs, new psychoactive substances and synthetic drugs", the OSCE said.
Trainers came from Belarus and other countries. They focused "on methods to counter the smuggling of drugs across borders".
