DUSHANBE -- Tajik border forces recently seized 29 kilograms of drugs after a clash with Afghan smugglers on the Tajik-Afghan border, Avesta.tj reported on December 6, quoting Tajik Border Troops spokesman Mukhammad Ulugkhojayev.
The shoot-out took place in Shuroabad District, Khatlon Province, he said, adding that the smugglers escaped back into Afghanistan. The troops recovered 25 kilograms of opium and 4 kilograms of cannabis, he said.
