Kyrgyzstan conducts anti-extremism seminars in south

BISHKEK -- The Kyrgyz Interior Ministry (MVD) recently conducted anti-extremism seminars in the south part of the country, the MVD press office said in a Monday (December 5) statement.

Participants included officials from local governments, including local welfare departments and police officers. The purpose of the seminars was to raise local civil servants' ability to fight extremism.

The series of seminars included three in Batken Province, three in Osh Province and two in Jalal-Abad Province.
