BISHKEK -- Kyrgyz Deputy Prime Minister Jenish Razakov on Wednesday (December 7) in Bishkek chaired a cabinet meeting to discuss the formulation of a state programme to fight terrorism and extremism nationwide, the government's press office said in a statement, according to Avesta.tj.
The threat of extremism and terrorism has acquired a global character, Razakov said, according to Avesta.tj. Participants in the meeting noted the need to devote special attention to preventing extremism among youth.
Razakov ordered the creation of an inter-agency working group to devise the anti-extremism and anti-terrorism programme.
