OSCE aids development of Tajik female politicians

Staff Report

DUSHANBE -- The Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) on December 5-9 conducted a five-day-long course to mentor the trainers of Tajik political party representatives, the OSCE said in a Tuesday (December 13) statement. The event was meant to advance women's role in Tajik political life.

Twenty participants, mostly from the youth wings of political parties, attended the training session, which was the second of its kind nationwide.

"The participants learnt about mentoring techniques, how to work as a mentor or mentee, and discussed the benefits of mentoring programmes," the OSCE said.
