Kyrgyzstan launches hotline for religious questions

BISHKEK -- Bishkek on Tuesday (December 13) began operating Kyrgyzstan's first hotline for religious questions, the State Commission for Religious Affairs (GKDR) said in a statement.

Users who dial 1592 will be able to receive advice on religious questions. The hotline's purpose is to combat extremism by increasing the public's religious knowledge.

Hotline staffers include attorneys, theologians and psychologists.
