ASHGABAT -- Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov recently reprimanded 40 government officials and fired three prosecutors for deficient performance, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL)'s Turkmen service reported Friday (December 16).
Berdymukhamedov issued the reprimands at a cabinet session in which the officials' job performance in the first 11 months of 2016 came under review.
It was the largest number of officials disciplined by Berdymukhamedov on one occasion, RFE/RL reported.
