Theologians to teach in Kazakhstani prisons

ASTANA -- Kazakhstani Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev ordered members of the cabinet to strengthen the fight against terrorism, Zakon.kz reported Wednesday (February 1).

Sagintayev cited President Nursultan Nazarbayev's Tuesday (January 31) message to the people of Kazakhstan.

Sagintayev instructed Interior Minister Kalmunkhabet Kasymov to organise outreach work within prisons by theologians and rehabilitation workers as part of a planned nationwide 2017-2020 anti-extremism programme.
