DUSHANBE -- A court in Dushanbe sentenced a Tajik man, Sh. Bobokhonov, to 15 years in prison for recruiting for the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL), Avesta.tj reported Thursday (February 9).
While working abroad, Bobokhonov became acquainted with ISIL's terrorist ideas through social media, according to the Tajik General Prosecutor's press office.
Bobokhonov recruited eight Tajik citizens for ISIL and paid for their passage to Syria, the court found.
