Kazakhstan -- More than 150 kg of drugs were seized during a four-day operation called "Transit" from February 6-10, Zakon.kz reported on Tuesday (February 14) citing the Kazakhstani Interior Ministry (MVD) press service.
The operation, in which 227 search teams and 2,512 police officers were involved, aimed to expose and stop criminals from storing large quantities of drugs.
Law enforcers checked 2,273 vehicles, 610 buses, 178 trains, and 24 flights during the operation.
More than 150 kg of drugs were pulled off the black market, including 40g of heroin, 147.12 kg of marijuana and 2.52 kg of hashish.
