Kazakh police receive upgraded training facilities

Staff Report

ALMATY, Kazakhstan -- Police in Almaty province are receiving better facilities to hone their skills, e-islam.kz reported Thursday (February 23), quoting the TV station Almaty.

Police in Enbekshikazakh District now have a training centre with a shooting range, enabling them to sharpen their marksmanship without having to go to a military training ground.

The new facility can accommodate 50 police officers at once. The police have similar shooting ranges in all 16 districts and three large cities in Almaty province and plan to double the number of shooting ranges ultimately.

The facility in Enbekshikazakh District includes space for police to practice martial arts.
