ASHGABAT -- Turkmenistan's Security Council Monday (April 3) reviewed ways to strengthen the country's State Customs Service and improve its personnel, reported state-owned Vatan TV.
Upgrading the customs bureau is essential because Turkmenistan is becoming an international transportation and transit hub, according to Vatan TV.
Pursuant to the Security Council's findings, the Customs Service intends to refine its working methods, use new technologies and regularly conduct training exercises.
