TASHKENT -- The EU's foreign policy chief will be visiting Uzbekistan this year to discuss economic co-operation, Podrobno.uz reported Monday (May 8), quoting a source at the EU office in Uzbekistan.
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini is planning to participate in the 13th conference of Central Asian and EU foreign ministers, which is taking place in Tashkent this year.
Topics at the conference will include the "development of an economic platform for co-operation", said the EU source in Tashkent.
Presidents of Central Asian countries overall called 2017 a year of changes and said they foresee further innovations in 2018.
