Kazakhstan trains law enforcement on psychological techniques with radicals

URALSK, Kazakhstan -- Personnel from West Kazakhstan Province law enforcement agencies and members of anti-extremism outreach groups are undergoing training on how to work with radicals, the provincial Administration for Religious Affairs said in a statement Friday (June 2).

The training is taking place in Uralsk Monday (June 5) through Saturday (June 10).

The purpose of the workshop is acquaint the attendees "with modern psychological techniques that are used to influence behaviour", according to the statement.

Two Kazakhstani psychologists are conducting the workshop.
