ASTANA -- Astana police this year have inspected more than 1,000 facilities city-wide to gauge their readiness against potential terrorist attacks, the local police press office said in a statement Tuesday (June 6).
The locations include key government buildings, strategic facilities like power plants and hospitals, and high-traffic public places.
Police began an administrative court case against one supermarket chain for "ignoring [counter-terrorism] standards", according to the statement.
