Kazakhstani reporters learn to cover religious issues

ASTANA -- The Kazakhstani Religious Affairs and Civil Society Ministry Thursday (June 29) conducted a training session in Astana for journalists, Kazislam.kz reported. The topic was coverage of religious issues.

Journalists and members of the expert community discussed ways to cover state policy on religion and exchanged opinions and experiences about media coverage of religion.

One participant, Rustem Syzdykov, gave a presentation on the dangers of radical movements in the modern world.

A Religious Affairs and Civil Society Ministry official, Dianna Yesenova, shared ways to transmit information about terrorism and extremism.
