DUSHANBE -- The spread of instability from southern to northern Afghanistan poses a threat to Tajikistan, according to the Strategic Research Centre under the President of Tajikistan, Avesta.tj reported Monday (July 10).
Another dangerous factor reportedly is the ongoing presence of the "Islamic State" (IS) in Afghanistan.
Tajikistan is taking various measures with its partners to protect its border, including military exercises, said Abdullo Rakhnamo, the chief foreign policy analyst for the think tank.
