MINSK, Belarus -- The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries plan to share lists of individuals linked to terrorism, RIA Novosti reported Tuesday (July 25), quoting Kyrgyz State Financial Intelligence Service official Chyngyz Kenenbayev.

The exchange of information amounts to creating a common database on terrorists, added Kenenbayev.

"We have made serious steps as part of international co-operation in fighting terrorism," said Kenenbayev during a speech in Minsk Tuesday at a session of a CIS expert group. The group convened to discuss a draft agreement among CIS countries on fighting terror financing, money laundering, and the financing of the spread of weapons of mass destruction.
