Taraz authorities warn residents about extremist groups' activities

TARAZ, Kazakhstan -- Authorities in Taraz Thursday (August 3) distributed informational booklets about extremism in the city's construction zones and in a shopping centre, said the Zhambyl Province Administration for Religious Affairs.

The booklets warned of the destructive activities of extremist groups and gave readers information about the country's hotline for victims of extremism.

The targeted recipients include construction workers building two apartment buildings and the customers at a shopping centre for construction materials.
