BISHKEK -- Uzbekistan Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov Wednesday (August 16) arrived in Bishkek for talks on border demarcation, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) reported, quoting the Kyrgyz government press office.
Aripov conferred with Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev on issues of co-operation, according to CA-News.org. Aripov was also scheduled to have talks with Kyrgyz counterpart Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan are still working to nail down 230km of their almost 1,400km-long border. Aripov planned to attend a meeting of a border demarcation commission.
