Rahmon discusses security with Pakistani army chief

DUSHANBE -- Tajik President Emomali Rahmon Monday (August 28) in Dushanbe conferred on security matters with visiting Pakistani army chief Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa, Avesta.tj reported, quoting Rahmon's press office.

Both leaders reportedly expressed satisfaction with the growing co-operation between their countries' militaries and security agencies.

They also discussed joint efforts in trying to stabilise Afghanistan, and Pakistani aid meant to boost Tajikistan's ability to fight regional threats.
