SHYMKENT, Kazakhstan -- Authorities conducting a raid in Shymkent Tuesday (September 19) rounded up an unspecified number of suspected extremists, Tengri News reported that day, quoting South Kazakhstan Province police.
The suspects are accused of buying up and re-selling stolen phones, according to South Kazakhstan Province police. They allegedly changed the ID codes of the phones and placed extremist recordings on them before re-selling them.
