KAZAN, Russia -- Uzbekistani diplomats in Russia urged Uzbekistani students there to avoid violating migration law and participating in religious groups, 1News.uz reported Tuesday (October 17).
Damir Mamatkulov, second secretary at the Uzbekistani embassy in Moscow, reminded students attending Kazan Federal University about the need to stay vigilant against extremist recruitment, according to the university's press office.
"Your main business here is study," he said.
The embassy provides "consular consultations ... so that our compatriots do not fall into various extremist movements", added Uzbekistani consul-general Sobir Yuldashev.
