US instructors to lead mentor programme for English teachers in Tajikistan

DUSHANBE -- The US Embassy in Tajikistan announced December 8 that it is accepting applications for the 2018 English Teaching Mentor (ETM) Programme, which will run from April to December next year.

"The ETM programme will provide four intensive, multi-day training workshops in Dushanbe, focusing on English-language teaching and led by American instructors," said an embassy statement.

"Participants will develop a network of fellow teachers with whom to exchange ideas during and after the programme," the statement said.

The embassy's Public Affairs Section is already accepting applications for the programme. The deadline is January 10, 2018.

Those who apply "should be current teachers of English at the primary, secondary or university level who have a strong desire to mentor and teach other teachers", said the embassy.
