BISHKEK -- Kyrgyzstan's Ministry of Education and Science has approved a draft document outlining the development of e-learning, 24.kg reported Friday (January 5).
The National Concept for the Development of e-Learning and Digital Management, the planning document, is aimed at improving equal access to quality education for citizens nationwide.
"E-learning today worldwide is seen as a key educational technology based on the internet and multimedia, which allows to radically improve access to quality education," said the ministry. "Until recently, there was no systematic approach to the development of e-learning at all levels of education in Kyrgyzstan. Therefore, we developed a concept document."
The plan calls for integrating open educational resources into a National Education Platform.
