BISHKEK -- Kyrgyz and Swiss officials have met to discuss co-operation on water and energy issues, AKIPress.org reported.
Kyrgyz First Deputy Foreign Minister Dinara Kemelova hosted Ambassador Michel Mordasini, Switzerland's special envoy for water, Tuesday (February 6) in Bishkek.
The pair exchanged views on the development of hydro-power, prevention of natural disasters in mountainous areas and the development of mountain eco-systems. They also discussed the handling of uranium tailings.
Kemelova stressed the importance of regional co-operation on water among Central Asian countries.
