TASHKENT -- Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are holding consultations to develop a common information space for television and radio.
Kazakhstani Ambassador to Uzbekistan Yerik Utembayev and Uzbekistani National Broadcasting Company Chairman Alisher Hajayev discussed the initiative, AKIpress.org reported Tuesday (February 13).
The two sides agreed to bolster co-operation in broadcasting with the goal of joint education, science and information programmes.
The project's goal is to provide surplus hydro-electric power from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan to Afghanistan and Pakistan during the summer months.
