DUSHANBE -- The US embassy in Dushanbe donated a regional training centre to the Tajik government to help control exports, prevent the smuggling of weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) and fight nuclear proliferation, the embassy said in a Wednesday (March 20) statement.
The centre is situated in Dushanbe and cost $370,000 (3.2 million TJS) to build. It includes four outdoor training areas, a simulated port of entry and a conference hall.
The centre is meant to aid Tajikistan's Nuclear Radiation and Safety Agency.
US and Tajik officials jointly opened the facility.
