BISHKEK -- Kyrgyz authorities have arrested suspected members of an international ring accused of smuggling drugs from Europe to Central Asia, according to the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) press office, 24.kg reported Monday (April 2).
GKNB personnel detained the drug traffickers while they were allegedly trying to sell a large amount of Alpha-PVP in Bishkek city and in Chui Province.
The GKNB did not disclose the amount of Alpha-PVP seized. All suspects are in a GKNB jail, said the agency.
Alpha-PVP is a strong synthetic stimulant often sold as a designer drug.
