TASHKENT -- Uzbekistani President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is set to arrive in the United States Tuesday (May 15) for his first official visit to Washington, UzDaily reported.
Mirziyoyev is scheduled to meet with US President Donald Trump in the White House Wednesday (May 16), Komil Allamjonov, a spokesman for Mirziyoyev, told journalists Monday (May 14).
The United States and Uzbekistan will sign more than 40 documents and deals worth about $8.5 billion (68 trillion UZS) during Mirziyoyev's two-day visit, according to Allamjonov.
Mirziyoyev will also hold talks with Defence Secretary James Mattis and US lawmakers. He is scheduled to meet World Bank President Jim Yong Kim Thursday (May 17) to discuss ways to attract investment to Uzbekistan.
