Jeenbekov vows to strengthen children's safety across Kyrgyzstan


BISHKEK -- Kyrgyz President Sooronbai Jeenbekov said his government would strengthen efforts to make children safer and healthier, reported.

He made his remarks in a message marking the International Day for Protection of Children.

Efforts will include road safety and violence prevention, with an emphasis on orphans and children with health issues and disabilities.

On Friday, Jeenbekov also allocated 2.4 million KGS ($35,000) to purchase medicine for the children's department of the National Centre of Oncology and Hematology in Bishkek.
