Kyrgyzstan to hold population, housing census in 2020
BISHKEK -- The Kyrgyz government is planning to conduct a census during March 23-April 1, 2020, reported AKIpress Wednesday (July 11).
Census workers will count the country's population and housing stock, reported 24.kg, quoting a session of the national commission for conducting the census.
One innovation will be counting "the exact number of people in migration [working abroad] and people with disabilities", said Akylbek Sultanov, chairman of the National Statistical Committee.
Census workers will test the system by conducting a pilot census in Chui Province in 2019, he added.
