BISHKEK -- Kazakh Defence Minister Saken Zhasuzakov held talks with Rayimberdi Duishenbiyev, chief of the Kyrgyz General Staff, in Bishkek Wednesday (July 25), Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reported.
The two sides discussed regional security and military co-operation and signed an agreement on intelligence co-operation, the Kyrgyz military said.
The occasion was the first official visit of a Kazakh defence chief to Kyrgyzstan since the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991.
