ASTANA -- The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is providing up to $45 million (16.1 billion KZT) in a financial package to Kazakhstan's Bank CenterCredit, the EBRD said in a Thursday (August 9) statement.
More than 60% of the loan is meant to support lending to businesses that traditionally have struggled for access to credit: "micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), particularly those run by women, outside ... Astana and Almaty", according to the EBRD.
