International specialists at Tashkent forum discuss Central Asia's transport corridors

TASHKENT -- Tashkent hosted an international conference on Central Asia's transport corridors Thursday (September 20), the Uzbekistan National News Agency reported.

More than 300 specialists from 37 countries, including Central Asian states, as well as representatives from international organisations, financial institutions and leading transport companies attended the event.

The main goal of the conference was to encourage international donors and foreign investors to implement new projects and build new transport corridors in the region.

Participants discussed the transport and transit potential of Central Asian countries, ways to develop customs and border procedures for international freight transport, and the introduction of information technologies, marketing and digital transport services.
