Tashkent to host annual Central Asian Trade Forum
TASHKENT -- More than 1,000 delegates are expected to attend the annual Central Asian Trade Forum October 17-18 in Tashkent, the Uzbekistan National News Agency reported.
The theme of the forum, organised by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and co-hosted by the Uzbek Ministry for Foreign Trade, will be "New Horizons in Trade and Investment", representing Central Asian states' growing openness to regional and international trade, according to the ministry.
Every year, the forum brings together Central Asian business leaders, representatives of international organisations and prominent regional and international political and public figures.
The Ministry for Foreign Trade and USAID during Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's official visit to the United States in May agreed to hold the forum this year in Tashkent.
