Kazakh firm to make drones for National Guard

ASTANA -- Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary (KGS) is set to produce unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for the country's National Guard, Kazinform reported Thursday (December 6). KGS is Kazakhstan's space equipment manufacturer.

Lt. Gen. Ruslan Zhaksylykov, commander of the National Guard, announced the plans during a meeting with a KGS delegation headed by Vice President for Space Systems and Technologies Maj. Gen. of Aviation Aidyn Aimbetov.

The two sides signed a memorandum aimed at expanding mutually beneficial co-operation during the meeting.
