ASTANA -- Kazakhstan is deploying a female soldier on a United Nations (UN) peacekeeping mission for the first time, Kazinform reported Wednesday (December 26).
Maj. Sholpan Tausheva and 30 other troops will serve as military observers for a year with the UN Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara.
