World Bank funds ambulances for Tajikistan's remote areas

DUSHANBE -- The World Bank has provided $600,000 (5.6 million TJS) to Tajikistan to purchase 20 ambulances for the nation's remote areas, Asia-Plus reported Wednesday (December 26), citing the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.

The ambulances will be manufactured in China.

The vehicles will serve remote settlements in the Devashtich, Mastchoh, Farkhor, Danghara, Yovon, Jaloliddin-Balkhi and Ishkashim districts, according to the ministry.
