GENEVA, Switzerland -- The United States co-hosted an event at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, March 13, to raise awareness regarding "ongoing and egregious human rights abuses in Xinjiang, where more than one million Uighurs, ethnic Kazakhs, Kyrgyz, and other members of Muslim minority groups have been detained since April 2017", according to a statement Monday (March 18) by the US Embassy in Bishkek.
The United States, along with Canada, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, encouraged the UN to make those abuses a priority.
Government officials, expert panelists, and survivors emphasised the magnitude and severity of the violations of human rights and fundamental freedoms in Xinjiang.
Participants considered next steps the international community could take in addressing the situation in Xinjiang.
Present situation in China is similar to 1930 year Germany of Hitler. In those times, and now in China they tried to put so called “titular nation” to the highest position and whole world knows what it had resulted. 50 000 000 people died during WWII. If whole world will not get together against China as it did it in the past against Germany, present China with it‘s imperialistic actions, financial and economic possibilities will cause more damage than fascist Germany did. We will not only witness genocide of Uighurs but genocide of humanity. Nothing can stop religion-less governments, especially communists.
