NEW YORK -- Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin invited United Nations (UN) member nations to attend an upcoming conference in Dushanbe on illegal drugs and terror financing, Asia-Plus reported Friday (March 29).
Muhriddin make his remarks during a Thursday (March 28) UN Security Council debate in New York on "Combating the Financing of Terrorism".
He urged participants to attend the "International and Regional Co-operation on Countering Terrorism and Its Financing through Illicit Drug Trafficking and Organised Crime" conference scheduled for May 16-17.
Muhriddin highlighted the Tajik government's efforts to counter international terrorism, transnational organised crime and drug trafficking.
