Representatives of Central Asian airlines to meet in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE -- Representatives of Central Asia's airlines met in Dushanbe Monday (May 13) to discuss civil aviation development in the region, Asia-Plus reported, citing the press office of Somon Air, a privately owned Tajik carrier.

Top managers of Somon Air (Tajikistan), Air Astana (Kazakhstan), SCAT (Kazakhstan), QAZAQ Air (Kazakhstan), Uzbekistan Airways (Uzbekistan) and Avia Traffic Co. (Kyrgyzstan) were expected to review civil aviation in the region, economic co-operation and regional challenges.

Co-operation among the airlines is expected to bring about more prosperity and people-to-people connections.
